Fly to the Sky (FTTS) is a duo Pop/Rhythm and Blues group consisting of members Hwanhee (Hwang Yoon Seok) and Korean-American singer Brian (Brian Joo, né Brian Gintaek Joo /Joo Jin Taek and later changed to Brian Minkyu Joo/Joo Min Kyu). The duo debuted in November 1999 under the SM Entertainment label, where they stayed until 2004, when they moved to the P.Full Entertainment label.  While FTTS was initially a group that reflected the techno-dance and teen idol pop songs of many of their contemporaries, they quickly became well-known for -- and gained much of their commercial success from -- their mid-tempo ballads.

FTTS’s career is one marked with both business anomalies and internal strife. While their albums did very well - winning them awards ranging from Best New Artist (2000) to five Bonsang Awards (2003, 2006), Brian’s concerns over how his talents were perceived in comparison with Hwanhee’s briefly caused conflict between the duo. The two reconciled their differences, and when their contract with SM Entertainment ended, they decided to continue working together and signed with  P.Full Entertainment. After five years under the P.Full Entertainment label, the duo agreed to  move on to their separate careers, with Hwanhee signing with H-entercom and KeyEast (2009 - ), and Brian eventually signing with Jellyfish Entertainment (2010 - 2012) and then becoming a free agent in 2012.
