JYJ (originally known as Junsu/Jaejoong/Yoochun in Japan) includes members Junsu (Kim Junsu; Xiah), Yoochun (Park Yoochun; Micky), and Jaejoong (Kim Jaejoong; Hero). After performing for several years as members of extremely popular male group TVXQ!, in 2009, the trio brought forward a lawsuit against their management company SM Entertainment, alleging significant problems with the contract’s length and associated distribution  payments.  Soon after the initial suit, the group won their right to work independently in entertainment; however, overall the lawsuit still remains open in the Korean justice system as other issues are worked out.

In the meantime, JYJ has continued as a successful group, touring in Japan, Europe, and South America. Members Jaejoong and Yoochun have garnered lead roles in a short film and several Kdrama series, and the group has also participated in several Kdrama OSTs.
