Music Video Part I

SHINee videos are hallmarked by intricate choreography, which is often shown off in “Dance Only” videos in addition to regular music videos.  SHINee’s debut video Noona Neomu Yeppeo reveals the boy-next-door images of young men who are infatuated with a mature young lady. Love Like Oxygen’s choreography features chairs, and it also signals the beginning of videos that focus on studio environments and varying angles of dancing shots and SHINee member close-ups. A.Mi.Go and Juliette both have storylines where SHINee members are trying to find out the identity of a mystery girl.  Ring Ding Dong shows a darker, more mature image of SHINee through the use of costuming, choreography, and backgrounds. This darker image continues in the Lucifer video, which features even more intense choreography. After returning to a more innocent image and demonstrating relatively simple dancing for their Hello video, SHINee recreated the feel of Lucifer when they released a Japanese version of the video.
