In addition to being one of the founding members of the seminal South Korean rap group Drunken Tiger, Tiger JK (Seo Jung Kwon) is a powerful solo rapper and entrepreneur. Tiger JK debuted in 1995 with the label Oasis Entertainment. While signed with that label, he met DJ Shine and formed the duo Drunken Tiger. Under that name they released several albums until DJ Shine left the group in 2005. That same year Drunken Tiger created a new label, Jungle Entertainment, and Tiger JK was named the CEO. He released the rest of his albums under this label.
Tiger JK is well-known internationally for his lyrical style and content, which initially were written to address and alleviate the ills between African American and Korean-American communities, and eventually evolved to include daily observation and lighter hearted subjects. He is also an accomplished producer, having worked with LOEN Entertainment and Jellyfish Entertainment artists. He still performs under the name Drunken Tiger.
In 2013, Tiger JK started a project group MFBTY (My Fans Better Than Yours) with his wife, R&B/Soul singer Yoon Mi Rae (Tasha) and rapper Bizzy.
