Music Video Part I

Many 4Minute videos feature the group members on closed sets using abstract light shows and video editing effects for variety. The image of the group quickly grows more mature as they move through their career. In their debut video, “Hot Issue,” the group member’s costuming makes heavy use of bright colors in clothing and makeup. In their second video, “Muzik,” leather, fringe, and darker tones mark the first signs of the group’s emerging sexy image. In “What A Girl Wants,” the group returns to an innocent image, complete with balloons, schoolgirl costumes, and fresh-faced makeup. For the Japanese version of “Muzik,” the group chooses to create an original video rather showcasing a mature image rather than return to their debut look. In “HuH,” labelmates BEAST make an appearance as the ladies dance, in part, in a deserted impound lot. “I My Me Mine” returns to a closed set with complicated lighting sequences and choreography. “Superstar” is one of few videos that include footage of the group as they rehearse their choreography and prepare for a performance on the show Superstar K, while “Home Run” uses animation from the show Rolling Stars.  In “Heart to Heart,” 4Minute makes use of a storyline about getting back at a boyfriend who has forgotten he’s committed (cameo appearance by CNBLUE’s Lee Jung Shin).
