Discography: Part I

Block B’s musical style is rooted in R&B, however the group has also expanded to other genres (pop, electronic, etc.). Block B has a good mix of single albums, mini-albums, and full albums, starting with their debut single album Do You Wanna Be? featuring the single “Freeze.” The single was quickly followed by the group’s first mini-album, New Kids on the Block, another collection of pop songs underscored by classic hip-hop beats. Their second mini-album Welcome to the Block revealed the popular singles “Go Crazy” (Nalina) and “Action,” and it’s not until the release of their first full album - a repackage of Welcome to the Block - that we hear a more sentimental ballad from the group (“Close My Eyes”).  They don’t stay in ballad territory long, however, releasing their second full -length album, Blockbuster featuring the dramatic single “Nilili Mambo.”

Since their move to Seven Seasons in 2013, the group has released the mini-album Very Good, a work that highlights the group’s evolution from heavily hip-hop to one that retains that connection while encompassing sentimentality through their lyrics.
