Music Video Part I

A bulk of Byul’s released music is associated with original soundtracks for Korean television shows, and she has also participated in several collaborations. Her videos reflect these aspects of her career, starting with the video for the single, “I Think I,” from the Full House Original Soundtrack. The video features footage from the now famous television series.  The video “Pretending” from  her second album, is one of few videos featuring a storyline: Byul’s boyfriend returning to their shared home to collect his things and move out.  In “Cupid,” Byul shows an informal side, singing the song informally in various locations of a park. “Give Your Heart” reflects a collaborative effort with the group Natural. It is simply treated with Byul singing in a room lighted by candles. In “Today It Hurts,” Byul returns to her fundamental sad ballad roots, lamenting the demise of a relationship.  Years later (2012), Byul returned with new music and new videos showcasing her fun, informal side (“So Cute”) and her traditional ballad style (“You Are So Bad”).
