While Jaurim video storylines range from laidback landscapes to tense scenes, they often include a sense of whimsy and reflect the quirky creativity of the group members. The video for Jaurim’s breakout single, “Hey Hey Hey” is a simple concept that is very reminiscent of early 90’s indie rock: soft focus, film footage acting as a spotlight as the members perform in a dark room, and lots of hanging out in green fields. The video is relaxed and upbeat.  This upbeat side of the group continues in their second video promoting the single “Deviation,” which features the group performing in a room pasted with newspapers and performing live at a small concert.

In 2000, Jaurim ups video production values starting with their video for “Magic Carpet Ride.” In addition to costuming and increased set design, the video concept also revolves around a storyline. In “Ha Ha Ha Song,” Jaurim mixes high production values with a looser storyline that showcases their rock leanings as they perform inside a boxing ring while those in attendance do all the fighting. For their single, “Shining,” the group presents an elevated, stylish, and simple concept as they perform the song in a beige room and prepare and serve tea.

Whimsical elements and surrealism underscored with psychological tension are a large part of videos like “Carnival Amour” and “Screws,” but the group returns to lighter, more traditional images of teacher-cum-rock star in the video for “Idol.”
