Music Video Part I

Park jumpstarted his solo career via YouTube, where he uploaded footage of him performing a cover of popular B.o.B. song, “Nothin’ On You.” This video went viral and Park created a video with Korean lyrics, naming the song and video “Count On Me (Nothin’ On You).  Soon after he was signed with Sidus HQ. From there, Park’s videos reflect the professional quality expected from professional production values.  The music videos for “Abandoned” take place in sets stylized to look like gritty urban environments, while “Tonight” takes a brighter approach to casual street scenes. In “Level 1000,” Jay Park and Korean rapper Illionaire take an informal approach to performance, casually rapping at night in nondescript cars and city locales. In 2011, Park maintains his b-boy roots while showing viewers his sweeter side. “Girlfriend” reveals how his dance skills impress the girl of his dreams, while “Star” implores his mate to stick with him through the challenges that come from fame. “Know Your Name” signals a return to Jay Park’s dance roots, not only through the lyrics, but with a visual costume tribute to Michael Jackson. For his Intro track to his 2012 full album New Breed, Park wears fantastic makeup (reportedly inspired by tattoos worn by Rick Genest) as he performs the short song. Later that year along with Korean-American rapper Dumbfoundead, Park released footage of their performances of “You Know How We Do.”
