LEDApple is a group known for their live instrumentation (members play drums, bass, and guitar in addition to vocals). The group has gone through several changes but managed to retain a consistent strong rock/pop sound. On the Startory Entertainment label, LEDApple debuted in 2010 with five members: Youngjun (Seo Young Jun), Kwangyeon (Kim Kwang Yeon), Sunghyun, Minyoung, and I-OH, the group has undergone two more member line-up changes. In 2011, I-OH left due to tuberculosis, and Minyoung and Sunghyun also left for undisclosed personal reasons. By the release of the band’s second album in 2011, the group added members Hyoseok (Kim Hyo Seok), Jaehoon, and Kyumin (Lee Kyu Min), bringing the group tally up to six members. However, more changes were in store in when Jaehoon left and group members Hanbyul (Jang Han Byul) and Keon U were added. In mid-2012, Keon U also left the group citing health concerns. Currently, the group has five members: Youngyun, Hanbyul, Hyoseok, Kwangyeon, and Kyumin.

Despite the group’s numerous member changes, LEDApple has consistently produced music and had their music critically recognized, particularly their song “Birthday Killer” which touches on the negative effects of anti-fan online activities. In 2012, the group debuted in Japan and performed their first solo concerts in Seoul.
