From 1997 - 2000, Sechs Kies released six albums. Their debut album, Songs of a School Life, was released in 1997 and promoted several singles, including the title song and “Way of a Man.” In 1997 the group also released their second album, Welcome to the Sechs Kies Land featuring the song 기사도 (Way of Knighthood). The group released two more albums in 1998: Road Fighter and Special. Special was also used as the soundtrack to a movie the group appeared in titled Seventeen: The Movie.

After a year of tours and a special fan meet, the group released one album, Com’Back, in 1999. However, their promotion activities slowed greatly as the group considered disbanding. In mid May 2000, Sechs Kies formally announced their decision to disband. Two weeks later the group released their final commercial effort, Blue Note.
