Music Video Part I

Young Turks Club released several videos early in their career, but they gradually decreased as they released more albums. One of their earlier videos, (Affection), which initially features a story line, shows off the group’s dancing skills. Many shots of the video also happen on location in Korea. The group also released two holiday-themed videos: “Ugly Complex” and “White War” - both feature footage of the group participating in winter sports like skiing and ice hockey; and the videos also offer footage of the group as they perform at concerts and interact backstage. In one of the most classic examples of 1990s videos, “Others” features every hallmark from shirtless men and informal choreography to wardrobe choices that heavily feature denim, oversized single-breasted suits, and sportswear.

By the time Young Turks Club is a three member female group in 2000, the videos take on higher production values - “Sad Lovers” and “Reunion” both take place in Indonesia among ruins and on the country’s beachfronts. The latter video also features footage of the three member group as they perform in Indonesia.
