In addition to his extensive albums, Park has also lent his voice to original soundtracks for Kdramas and movies and other special projects. The R&B artist debuted with a full length album Things I Can’t Do For You in 2000. The eponymous song was greeted with commercial success, along with another promoted song, “Fool.” In 2001 Park released another full length album titled Second Story, which was followed the next year with Time-Honored Voice. Time-Honored Voice brought Park his first number one song (“A Good Person”), which was followed by another number one hit from his fourth full length album Soul Tree (“Standing In That Place”).

In 2004 Park recorded his first original soundtrack, singing a Korean cover of Japanese artist Miki’s song “Snow Flower” for the Korean television series I’m Sorry I Love You.  Before he took a brief hiatus in late 2005, Park recorded an album of songs he remade, titled Neoclassicism. A track titled “Scattered Days” made it to the top five on music charts. After his hiatus, Park released a full length album (Breeze of the Sea), recorded a track for the Kdrama Iljimae (Flower Letter), and participated in a record project that resulted in a song that is uniquely different from most of his work (“The Castle of Zoltar” from The Hwang Project - Welcome to the Fantastic World).
