H.O.T. debuted with the upbeat song “Candy,” from their first album We Hate All Kinds of Violence.  Their video highlights a playful image of the members as they have fun at an amusement park. The video became so popular that a second version was made comprised of footage of the group performing the song on television and small concerts. The video for the group’s next single  “Warrior’s Descendant” shows a different side of the group as they perform in grittier urban landscapes, but they return to the fans in their next single, “I’m Fast You’re Slow.” The group continued their activities in 1997 with the release of their second album Wolf and Sheep. They promoted four singles from the album: “Wolf and Sheep,” “We Are the Future,” “Free to Fly,” and “Happiness.” The break out video “We Are The Future” shows the group as visitors to Earth who try out rebellious youth behavior. Later in 1997 the group released their third album (Resurrection), where we see emotionally heavy subject matter in videos like “Hope.” This album also highlights the group’s leanings toward rock music (“Line Up”).
